Title: Lead UI Developer (ONLY W2 Candidates)

Location: U.S Remote (EST Schedule 8-5)

Duration: 12 month contract

Needs:

  • 6+ years professional experience with frontend UI development and design
  • Strong experience with React
  • Experience with design tools: Figma, Adobe, or Sketch
  • Experience with TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • Strong experience with team leadership and excellent communication skills

Nice to Haves:

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead UI Developer to drive the front-end design and development of our next-generation reporting applications. This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience for our financial platforms, ensuring performance, accessibility, and maintainability across all interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, reusable front-end components using React and Angular, with a strong emphasis on code quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences from concept to production.
  • Optimize application performance for responsiveness and speed across all major browsers and devices.
  • Architect and implement robust integrations between front-end components and RESTful APIs or backend services.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in front-end development.
  • Champion accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility as core development principles.
  • Proactively identify and resolve UI/UX issues, iterating on features based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and explain technical decisions.
  • Contribute to deployment processes and ensure smooth, reliable releases.
  • Apply web security best practices to protect user data and application integrity.
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends, sharing insights with the team.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience building modern web applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Hands-on experience with both React.js and Angular (2+), including large-scale application development.
  • Strong understanding of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, NgRx).
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing asynchronous data flows.
  • Proficient with modern build tools and workflows (Webpack, Babel, npm, Yarn).
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Awareness of web security principles and best practices.
