**What Youll Be Doing:**

**Value Proposition Statement:**

+ We are seeking a mid-level attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role will support our business and operations teams across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters, helping to structure and negotiate key arrangements while ensuring compliance in a complex and evolving regulatory environment. The ideal candidate will bring experience in health care contracting and a strong foundation in regulatory analysis, particularly in managed care and value-based arrangements.

**Collaboration Opportunities:**

+ As a member of the Legal team, and under general guidance and supervision of the Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, the Attorney will prepare and review a variety of complex contracts and provide legal counsel, guidance, and representation to Evolent as requested on complex legal, compliance and operational issues. This individual will be working with a highly skilled legal and compliance team, as well as key business and operational leads.

**What You Will Be Doing:**

+ Provide sound and efficient legal advice and counsel on a wide range of state and federal regulatory issues related to Evolents business and operations, including but not limited to: general corporate transactions, managed care, HIPAA, provider and vendor contracting, compliance, population health (including utilization management), Medicare, and Medicaid.

+ Draft, review and negotiate contracts with providers, vendors, managed care customers, and other third parties to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, case law, governmental regulations and Evolent policy guidelines. Analyze and advise business owners of contractual terms and their implications and finalize the agreement consistent with the risk tolerance of Evolent, producing clean and accurate legal documents.

+ Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, compliance and quality to support business initiatives and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

+ Assist in development of methods for achieving Evolent goals, such as updating template agreements, developing playbooks and internal policies, and standardization of legal terms to promote efficiency.

+ Draft and review significant correspondence and other documents on behalf of Evolent. Use skill, knowledge and experience to assist Evolent in amicably resolving disputes with third parties.

**Qualifications Required and Preferred:**

+ Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required

+ Active member in good standing with a state bar required

+ 3 to 8 years of experience required

+ Law firm and/or in-house legal department experience in health care legal and regulatory areas required

+ Experience with managed care contracting and value-based modelspreferred

+ Strong written and oral communication, presentation, analytical, and research skills preferred

+ Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting preferred

+ Successfully able to work independently and collaboratively preferred

+ Strong sense of ethics, roll-up sleeves attitude, and good sense of humor preferred

**Technical Requirements:**

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $140,000-160,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
