Job Description Summary:

Performs complex-level, professional IT internal audit work. Work involves leading or conducting performance, operational, security and data loss prevention (DLP) IT audit projects; providing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Information Technology controls, risk management, and governance processes; and providing an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve operations. Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Plan and perform IT audit risk assessments, audits and other projects as assigned. Perform audits following established department guidelines and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit. Represent internal audit on work groups and other committees. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify risks and effective internal audit engagements. Manage self and projects to effectively deliver timely work product. Draft content for Audit Committee for IT audits or projects performed. Assess inherent and residual risk. Understand and communicate IT audit concepts and findings using applicable frameworks like CIS and NIST.

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of IT auditing or IT similar position, public accounting, or related field;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field or relevant work experience.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Information Technology; Certification Preferred: CISA (Certified Information systems Auditor) Auditing skills; Critical thinking; Interpersonal, interviewing, presentation and communication skills; Report writing skills Minimum 5 years of IT auditing or IT similar position, public accounting, or related business

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Healthcare industry, OhioHealth, planning project management, computer proficiency (Word, Excel, automated work papers) 2+ years of healthcare audit or operations experience with large healthcare system Other personal transportation to accommodate travel to other campuses facilities. Primarily local travel.
