Operating out of seven locations, we offer medical care (primary care, dental, vision, OB/GYN, telehealth), behavioral health care, 340B pharmacy, nutritional assistance programs, and more. Working hours are Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday morning coverage.

SUMMARY:

This position requires an experienced Medicare/Medicaid Team Specialist who is responsible for day-to-day processing and analysis of Accounts Receivable from Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and Commercial. The successful candidate will be able to Post payments to the system from Explanation of Benefits from Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial, Dual Plan Options etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • One to two years current experience in Medicaid billing in a hospital, clinic, or physicians' office setting preferred.
  • Current knowledge of various insurance plans, i.e., HMO's, PPO's, Medicare, Medicaid, BWC
  • Current working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding
  • Thorough knowledge of computerized billing
  • Ability to navigate the MITS & FISS systems
  • Rebill claims as necessary to Medicaid/Medicare and all other plans
  • Ability to interact with CFO to facilitate and maintain billing cycle time frames
  • Work all online denials within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt, taking any action necessary to secure account resolution
  • Perform extensive account follow-up and provide analysis of problem accounts

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent with a focus in a general business curriculum
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Accounts Receivable environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following: Medicare, Managed Care, Primary and Commercial Insurances required and Medicaid Preferred
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions
