Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Oncology
Location: Columbus, OH 43210
Duration: 13 weeks
Shifts Available:
Night: 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Day: 3x12-Hour (7:30 AM - 7:00 PM)

Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,155.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,435.00 Per Week

Job Overview: Join a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit (18J) with 24+ PCU-level beds, caring for adult, adolescent, and rare pediatric oncology patients. This is a high-acuity PCU environment with strong interdisciplinary support and cutting-edge equipment.

Responsibilities
Provide direct care to patients with complex oncology, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses.
Administer medications including cardiac drips, blood products, and pain management via PCA.
Monitor patients using GE telemetry systems.
Respond to rapid response situations and dysrhythmias.
Perform IV starts, central/PICC line care, and use of infusion pumps (Alaris).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: PT, RT, pharmacy, case management, social services, etc.
Float to other PCU or MedSurg Oncology units as needed.
Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications
License: Active RN license (compact or Ohio)

Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience in PCU or ICU

Certifications:
Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Preferred: Chemotherapy certification, phlebotomy, wound vac

Charting System: Epic (required)

Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

References: 2 required (1 must be supervisor/manager or leadership; charge RN acceptable)

Preferred Skills
Oncology experience (not required)
Chemotherapy administration & monitoring
IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin/cardiac drips
Phlebotomy, arterial line management, surgical drains
Wound care/Wound Vac experience
Non-invasive airway management
