Job Description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Administrator in Herndon, VA.
Duties Include:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, including timesheets, deductions, and benefits
- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit payroll reports for management, including summaries of earnings, taxes, and deductions
- Ensure accurate calculation and filing of payroll taxes, including social security, Medicare, and unemployment insurance
- Manage and update payroll systems to reflect changes in employee status, tax laws, and company policies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data and employee information
- Provide training and support to staff on payroll procedures and systems
- Assist with payroll audits and implement necessary changes to improve processes and compliance* 3-5 years of end-to-end Workday Payroll experience, preferably with a mid- to large-sized company; The ideal candidate should also have experience handling tax notices as well as state and local registrations
- Workday Payroll Experience is required - current use is better but okay with it being a few years old
- Must have processed payroll in Workday as well as done taxes
