Job Description:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Construction Documents
  • Perform material take-offs from Construction Documents
  • Design and Pre-Construction Phase: a. Meet with Management Team, Developers, General Contractors, and or Architect to understand the project program requirements, project schedule and budget on New Era Design Build Projects
  • Monitor schedule for design and estimating activities
  • Review the project design on each project or phase of project with New Era Team Leaders (concept, schematic, design development, construction) against the Contract Documents for compliance
  • Conduct Page Turn Meeting(s) with New Era project manager, contractor, and architect to confirm scope and constructability of the design
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Coordinate changes in design or budget, based upon the outcome of plan and pricing review exercises with New Era’s Team Leaders/Department Leaders
  • Review construction documents with general contractor for compliance with construction budget, materials, etc. If necessary, meet with specific subcontractors to get materials or price points
  • Identify long lead procurement items
  • Review, comment and general contractor's agreement
  • Assist in procurement of specialty vendors (stone, 3-form, lumber purchases, and veneer panels)
  • Provide management oversight and coordination with Installation Superintendents/Install Team
  • Coordinate with all New Era internal Team Members (Purchasing, Desing/Engineering, Shop Fabrication, Molding Department, Metal Fabrication, Delivery/Logistics, Installation) during the life of the project to ensure all New Era standards are adhered to for project completion
  • Attend Bi-Weekly review meetings with project team and owner, establishing protocol
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of the work.
  • Attend jobsite meetings and perform field inspections, site stone coordination when required
  • Help facilitate any site installation and or stone installation/coordination
  • Communication with project team and owner vendors (i.e. RFI tracking, production release, coordinating with stone vendors,) as necessary

Required Skills and Experience

Qualified professional with at least 5 years of experience managing large/medium building construction projects for managing commercial projects for the following industries: Governmental, Institutional, Commercial Interiors, Retail, Hospitality

facilities of project size up to or greater than $1.5MM.
