Production Planning Supervisor

Manpower Engineering is seeking a Supply Chain/Production Planning Supervisor for our Virginia Beach manufacturing client. Direct/perm role with a desirable company. Great benefits including company-funded pension! Relocation package.

Overview:

• Supervise the work, people, and results in the procurement, scheduling and execution of order details of goods and services required for production and operation within established guidelines.
• Provide administrative, research, and project support to company personnel involved in analyzing material performance, supplier capabilities, and unit costs.
• Train employees, set performance goals, organize, and assign work, and maintain a productive and motivational climate.

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ideally, APICS CPIM or CSCP
• 5+ years related experience preferred with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of MRP system; SAP applications preferred.
• Able to handle complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
