VP of Deal Execution, Sponsor Finance

Job Description

The Vice President of Deal Execution, Sponsor Finance will work collaboratively with senior Northwest Sponsor Finance ("NSF") leadership and Analyst, Associate, and/or Senior Associate team members to lead the underwriting strategy, closing, and monitoring of NSF transactions.

Essential Functions

• Work collaboratively with other senior members of NSF to structure, negotiate, underwrite, close, and monitor NSF transactions.
• Oversee the underwriting of credit facilities, including oversight and review of written documents prepared by Analyst, Associate, and Senior Associate team members.
• Participate in the negotiation of legal documentation.
• Lead communication with transaction stakeholders including internal management and credit partners, subordinated lenders, private equity sponsors, and company/borrower
• Conduct industry research to supplement diligence materials and third-party reports.
• Mentor and support the further development of Analyst, Associate, and Senior Associate team members
• Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
• Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
• Work as part of a team
• Work with on-site equipment

Education and Experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in due diligence, accounting, leveraged finance, investment banking or private equity experience
