The Associate General Counsel will provide primary legal and leadership support of the Company's Privacy and Cybersecurity Compliance program. This role will also support the business teams in appliance sales innovation, domestically and across the globe.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and lead a global privacy strategy that aligns with Company's objectives, relevant laws and regulations, and industry best practices
- Serve as a point of contact for privacy and securityrelated customer and regulatory inquiries and investigations
- Lead the Company's Privacy Committee and Executive Privacy Council
- Present Privacy Program updates to CSuite, Board of Directors, Governance and Risk Committees
- Work closely with Chief Digital Technology and Information Security teams to document Data Governance strategies and classification standards
- Work closely with business teams on product innovation, data mapping, data collection, and PIA assessments
- Work with crossfunctional teams to draft and review privacy policies, procedures, internal and external facing privacy notices to ensure compliance with privacy and cybersecurity laws
- Collaborate with internal business teams, such as legal, information technology, engineering, and business units, to resolve complex privacy and risk management issues and to assess cybersecurity measures and response protocols
- Stay informed of changes and developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards, and guidance, and communicate these changes effectively to relevant stakeholders
- Lead education programming and training for employees in data privacy and cybersecurity to foster a culture of security and privacy
- Lead and manage outside counsel relationships, as needed
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with active bar membership, in good standing, in any US state
- 15+ years practicing law in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Prior experience as a Privacy Officer for a large enterprise
- Confident, positive, initiativetaking, creative leader with effective critical thinking skills who also has exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Thought leader who is able to work both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment
- Demonstrated analytical experience, including assessing risk from a privacy and data protection perspective
- Comprehensive understanding of US and international data privacy and cyber security laws
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the following subject matters:
- Experience with crossborder data transfers and privacy data governance strategies to meet global legal requirements, industry standards, and customer requirements, especially in the areas of emerging technologies, products, and services
- Inhouse practice supporting privacy, product distribution, and providing legal counsel on AI large language models and generative systems for a major manufacturing company
- Experience with leading an enterprise's response to a major cyber security event
Certifications such as CIPP and/or CIPM
- This executive level role is hybrid in Louisville, KY; US relocation support is available.
