About the Role:
Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Manager is responsible for coordinating the agency's fiscal and budgetary functions related to financial grants management. The role requires expertise in grants management, policy development, supervision, and financial analysis. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating budget development and monitoring for assigned grants and programs, including both biennial and annual planning.
- Managing the grants lifecycle for the agency's financial grant activities, including the planning, awarding, payments, and fiscal reporting in compliance with state and federal regulations and rules.
- Providing financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic input for current and future programs.
- Reviewing, developing, and implementing fiscal policies, procedures, and legislative recommendations.
- Representing the agency in meetings with stakeholders such as OBM, DAS, federal partners, subrecipients, and financial associations.
- Coaching and developing staff, setting goals, and tracking performance metrics.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and participating in relevant trainings and conferences.
