Description
We are searching for a Risk Control Consultant to join one of our Dedicated Teams to apply Safety & Health expertise, with an emphasis
on risk elimination and Prevention Through Design principles.
This position is work from home, due to the dedicated aspect of the account, but does require significant overnight travel. In this role, you will identify, quantify, and reduce/eliminate safety hazards related to new facility construction, facility modernization initiatives (Automation) and special projects (Robotics). The team takes pride in its reputation for responsiveness and proven track record for pro-actively identifying opportunities for impact, and for developing solutions that have proven time
and again our value in mitigating loss for this high-profile customer. The right candidate for this role will bring strong initiative, relationship-building skills, acute customer focus, and a passion for quality execution as well as the detail oriented technical skills and experience.
Please Note: This position is eligible to be hired at differed levels depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site evaluations, evaluate data, and work with Project Managers to create/implement risk reduction controls in alignment with innovative H&S programs, Federal and State regulations and general risk reduction principles.
- Produce detailed surveys for each visit. Follow standardized procedures to ensure consistent communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Provide risk assessment services and information to track progress and demonstrate the value of doing business with Liberty Mutual.
- Position requires occasional early morning/late evening appointments and occasional weekend work.
- The position does require travel up to 50% travel to customer locations managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist client in establishing Safety Program requirements at new facilities and support any changes necessary at facility modernization projects.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with coursework in math,engineering or related areas (or equivalent).
- Preferred: Five to seven years of directly related consulting experience in risk control or progressive safety/heath field experience is preferred.
- Preferred: Advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, CPE.
- Required: Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.
- Preferred: Risk control consulting experience in the field of logistics and transportation.
- Required: Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts; proficient in managing multiple projects at different locations, the ability to interact and influence change within all levels of an organization, especially business executives; a strong team orientation; and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Required: Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, AI etc.)

Preference for candidates with convenient access to major airports in the Eastern United States and routinely available for overnight travel that may be up to 50%.
Qualifications- Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in a specialized field, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.
- Fully effective interpersonal, writing and other communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite.
- The knowledge, skills and other capabilities required are typically acquired through a bachelor degree with coursework in math, engineering or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 8 years of directly related consulting experience in risk control or progressive safety/heath field.
- Candidates are typically working towards (or obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
- Position requires regular travel.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
