Job Title: SIMCenter Administrative Coordinator Department: Engineering | Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence

Within the College of Engineering's Simulation Innovation and Modeling Center (SIMCenter), the Administrative Coordinator assists with the operational activities for SIMCenter and is responsible for a broad range of management, administrative, fiscal, research, project management, and educational support responsibilities; assists in developing and implementing administrative procedures; maintains an in-depth knowledge of priorities and activities within SIMCenter; manages conference room space and associated calendars; maintains databases and organizes shared drives; assists in working with funding agencies and developing financial resources and programs; assists in developing and implementing research reports, articles, and agendas in conjunction with faculty and staff; applies industry knowledge to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and sponsors related to research programs; manages projects; creates reports; manages expenditures; maintains and updates program websites ; delivers high level internal and external communications; serves as liaison between sponsors and university, college, center, and external entities; coordinates meetings; manages program functions; maintains assigned program budgets.

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel; requires access to export-controlled data and work in an export-controlled facility. Eligibility for this position is restricted to U.S. persons as defined in U.S. export control regulations. U.S. persons include: (1) U.S. citizens or nationals; (2) permanent residents; (3) asylees or refugees; or (4) individuals otherwise described as protected individuals pursuant to Title 8 U.S. Code Section 1324b(a)(3)(b).

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:

High School diploma or GED. Certification Desired: Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Required: 2 years of experience in operational management and/or administrative capacity, must be a strong communicator and collaborator, excellent attention to detail and ability to detect errors, have strong organizational skills; works well in a small team and fast-paced environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired: Excellent organizational skills highly desired; knowledge of operational policies and procedures highly desired; knowledge of university policies, rules and regulations strongly desired; knowledge or experience working in the engineering field; experience with event planning and/or coordination; strong people skills; critical thinking skills; thoroughness in work products; effective prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects, experience in an academic setting.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $21.35 - $27.88. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
