Financial Accounting Manager

Were partnering with a global organization to identify a Financial Accounting Manager to join their U.S.-based finance team. This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, supporting month-end close, and contributing to process improvement. The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands-on accounting expertise, systems knowledge, and team leadership experience within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee core accounting operations for the division, including AP, AR, credit and collections, and vendor account oversight
  • Lead monthly close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to corporate leadership
  • Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations across revenue, expense, inventory, and fixed assets
  • Ensure proper accruals for divisional operations, including project costs, maintenance, and operational expenses
  • Partner with operations and finance to maintain accurate job costing and inventory records
  • Support the implementation and optimization of division-level ERP tools (NetSuite preferred) and contribute to system-related improvements
  • Collaborate on divisional budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with broader financial targets
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline divisional accounting processes and reporting
  • Mentor and guide junior staff and collaborate cross-functionally to support a high-performing finance environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger processes, and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
