Veterinary Technician or Assistant – Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Ambler, PA

Madden Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary technician or assistant to join our growing team. We are a privately owned, small animal practice located just outside Philadelphia, and we’ve recently moved into a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. Licensed technicians are preferred but not required—we are open to candidates with relevant experience or a strong interest in veterinary medicine.

Position Overview

Our technicians and assistants play a vital role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients. We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, self-motivated, and a team player with strong communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and treatments

• Provide care for hospitalized and surgical patients

• Perform in-house lab work, radiographs, and diagnostics

• Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively

• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and home instructions

• Fill prescriptions and maintain medical records

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and treatment areas

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience preferred, but not required

• Veterinary technician license (CVT) is a plus but not mandatory

• Strong communication and multitasking skills

• Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude

• Willingness to learn and contribute to the practice's growth and success

About Our Practice

Madden Animal Hospital has served the Ambler community for over 35 years. We recently relocated into a newly renovated, fully equipped facility with digital xray, ultrasound, in-house Idexx lab equipment, surgical and dental suites, and 5 exam rooms. We are easy to work with, no drama, and take pride in practicing high-quality medicine in a collaborative, client-focused setting.

Ambler is a vibrant suburb with excellent restaurants, a walkable downtown, and easy access to Philadelphia (the clinic is walking distance to the train station).
