Job Title: Senior Facilities Operations Specialist Department: Student Life | Building and Mechanical Services

Job Description
The Facilities Operations Specialist 3 is responsible for the developing, implementing and managing the monitoring, inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of building systems and related equipment, and processes. This position applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to serve as an advisor for building systems-related equipment and processes across Student Life facilities. This position is responsible for monitoring and procurement of applicable inventory, including recommending improvements where necessary; working with vendors to ensure they are following contract guidelines; managing preventative and repair maintenance projects; training staff on data collection and accountability pertaining to labor hours and inventory; will act as interim manager when needed due to absences, leaves, etc. This position is also a hands-on position requiring mechanical and building systems aptitude coupled with excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. The Facilities Operations Specialist 3 typically works from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, subject to changes in shift, hours, days and/or location as operations dictate. Subject to call 24-hour call in. Given the level of expertise required, this role may also serve as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues and works on complex projects of large scope. Projects and tasks are reviewed for reasoning and accuracy and may refer to precedents and defined parameters.

Qualifications
Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience; 4 years of relevant facilities experience; drivers license; ability to lift 70 lbs.; available for 24-hour call; minimum 100 hours training in operating electrical tools and equipment (or 1 month exp.); experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) Systems; computer literacy, proficiency in MS Outlook programs; experience troubleshooting, repairing and testing building and mechanical systems equipment or multiple manufacturer training certificates in related systems.

Desired: 4-8 years relevant life alarm system or control systems maintenance experience; working experience in electrical/mechanical systems; universal EPA certification; mold remediation certification.

The targeted pay range for this position is $70,100 - $91,600.
