Experience:

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license (required after submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Expanded IV Therapy certification thru MS is required.

Shift: 6:45p-7:08a

No block scheduled offered/Must be flexible with schedule

Weekend and holiday requirements

All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies.

5 West - 48 bed unit.

Nurse: Patient ratio - 1:7, 1:10 if LPN is present.

Patient care modality: General med surg, weakness, COPD, respiratory failure.

Age range 21+ IV insertions, Foley insertions.

Vent types: Baxter IV Pump, Telemetry, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps, Omnicell med cabinet

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
Strongly prefer 400+bed or level 2 trauma experience

Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months.

Covid vaccine and flu shot are NOT required. If hcp declines, a mask must be worn at all times, with the exception of mealtimes.

Scrub color provided in UD.
