Job Summary and QualificationsThe Sepsis Program Coordinator will coordinate sepsis program development in conjunction with clinical leaders to ensure objectives, outcomes, and goals are achieved. The program coordinator demonstrates a high level of clinical competence that creates an environment of clinical excellence resulting in improved individual and group clinical outcomes.
- You will facilitate individualized, evidence-based, highly effective care to patients and families through coordination/collaboration of the entire healthcare team.
- You will collect and analyze data surrounding the sepsis patients to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care and outcomes.
- Through role modeling, coaching and demonstration, you will foster learning for the staff and promotes outcomes-oriented nursing practice.
- You will be responsible for program development, performance improvement of the service line, and staff and physician education and training.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required.
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Current and valid California RN license
- Minimum 3-5 years of Acute Care experience in Critical Care, and/or ED experience with a solid grasp of hemodynamic physiology related to the septic patient required.
- Knowledge of critical care, critical care protocols, and infection control
- Prior experience in Infection Prevention or Performance Improvement/Quality preferred
