Brown & Brown is seeking an Administrative Assistant and Data Specialist to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ!

The Administrative Assistant and Data Specialist s upports the efficient operation of the office by performing clerical and data entry tasks, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate records.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Utilize computer software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and binders.

  • Respond to all emails within 24 hours and maintain professional communication standards.

  • Request early renewal and claims experience from carriers based on group size and timing guidelines.

  • Create and update renewal and new group presentation pages, including preparation and release of RFPs.

  • Follow up with carriers, review quotes, and coordinate with the Producer on plan selection and marketing needs.

  • Finalize client presentations and prepare contribution analysis spreadsheets as directed.

  • Maintain accurate data and organized files; ensure clear communication between Producers and Carriers.

  • Follow agency policies and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Support and train team members on benefits-related tasks, system usage, and policy coding.

  • Complete assigned projects and perform additional duties as directed by the Employee Benefits Team Leader.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • College degree in a business or data-related field (preferred)

  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and speed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to manipulate large volumes of data and generate reports

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and environments

  • Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information

Pay Range

$24.04 - $24.04 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
