Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Toledo, OH, currently hiring for an Emergency Veterinarian. The hospital treats small animal patients and is seeking a veterinarian with strong emergency and critical care experience to provide comprehensive inpatient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7 with emergency and specialty services. The position is full-time with set shift schedules designed to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian is responsible for overseeing hospitalized patients not under direct specialty care. Responsibilities include managing ER transfers, supporting post-procedural recovery, providing comprehensive inpatient care, and coordinating communication with referral partners and clients. The role is intended for veterinarians with extensive emergency and critical care experience who thrive in a collaborative hospital setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including referral ultrasounds by a board-certified radiologist. All radiographs are reviewed daily by board-certified radiologists. The ICU is staffed 24/7 by a dedicated nursing team, and specialty consultation is available through affiliated specialty centers. The hospital uses an efficient electronic medical records system to support workflow and patient care. The practice promotes a collaborative and team-focused environment.

Team
The team includes an experienced ER doctor group and a dedicated ICU nursing team. The environment is collaborative, with strong mentorship and 24-hour specialty consultation support.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
