Attending Physician (MD/DO)

A Medical Practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Attending Physician (MD/DO) to join our team and provide care at skilled nursing facilities in Cullman County , AL . Candidates with prior experience in skilled nursing settings are highly preferred.

Competitive compensation will be offered, reflective of experience and qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure high-quality, respectful, and professional medical care for all patients.

  • Collaborate in the planning, development, and organization of medical services.

  • Develop and review clinical policies and procedures related to patient care.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing physical examinations, including admission assessments and periodic follow-ups as needed.

  • Engage actively in comprehensive care and discharge planning, and support staff through medical education and training.

  • Assist with preparation for regulatory inspections and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

  • Prescribe, evaluate, and adjust medications responsibly, consulting patients about any changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Alabama medical license.

  • Current DEA registration in good standing.

  • Up-to-date with CME requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, licensing, and operations, particularly in managed care environments.

  • Proven experience leading clinical services in diverse cultural and linguistic settings.

  • Sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
