Job Description
Attending Physician (MD/DO)
A Medical Practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Attending Physician (MD/DO) to join our team and provide care at skilled nursing facilities in Cullman County , AL . Candidates with prior experience in skilled nursing settings are highly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure high-quality, respectful, and professional medical care for all patients.

Collaborate in the planning, development, and organization of medical services.

Develop and review clinical policies and procedures related to patient care.

Conduct initial and ongoing physical examinations, including admission assessments and periodic follow-ups as needed.

Engage actively in comprehensive care and discharge planning, and support staff through medical education and training.

Assist with preparation for regulatory inspections and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

Prescribe, evaluate, and adjust medications responsibly, consulting patients about any changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Alabama medical license.

Current DEA registration in good standing.
-
Up-to-date with CME requirements.

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, licensing, and operations, particularly in managed care environments.

Proven experience leading clinical services in diverse cultural and linguistic settings.

Sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
