Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Project Manager to lead the modernization of our critical public safety systems. This full-time position is located in Millersville, MD, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence 3-4 days per week .

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary business liaison and point of contact for the vendor

  • Champion the needs of the business, ensuring alignment with project goals and user requirements

  • Oversee vendor's project plans, monitoring timelines, resource allocation, and key milestones

  • Manage the project budget from the client side and approve expenditures

  • Translate technical project updates into clear communications for stakeholders

  • Lead internal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate training oversight

  • Develop and lead the internal change management strategy

  • Maintain documentation and ensure a clear audit trail of critical project decisions

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects in the public sector or public safety domain

  • Proven ability to analyze business processes and translate them into technical requirements

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • PM experience with public safety systems

  • Experience with large-scale system implementations and change management

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, information technology, public administration, or a related field

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $65 - $80 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law
