The Edward Jones Connection Team at Edward Jones exists to enable branch team to optimize their practice by creating capacity, through serving clients in partnership. The Sr. Financial Advisor is responsible for the client and branch team relationship and creating a place of belonging for other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

The Position: The Edward Jones Connection (EJC) department acts as a fiduciary, remotely serving clients in partnership with the clients' local Branch Office Team. The Sr. Financial Advisor owns the branch experience and drives the partnership serving clients working in a teaming structure. They effectively and efficiently manage over 100 branch team relationships to create confidence in the program by elevating the branch experience. Sr. Financial Advisors focus on proactive and reactive client needs to deliver a segmented client experience anchored to our service framework. This involves serving the client directly over the phone and/or through other technology communication channels by discovery and financial planning. The ideal candidate would have sound experience and understanding of the Financial Advisor Role at Edward Jones or a background that includes strong relationship building, critical thinking, and excellence in working in partnership with the CSS to deliver service to clients as a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage firm systems, tools and resources to support Goal Based Advice conversations in a tailored approach and apply knowledge of the Edward Jones business model, investment philosophies and values.

Understand client needs and generate solutions demonstrating acumen in financial planning/advice and guidance.

Prioritize the opportunity to service clients and implement solutions to meet the clients' goals while preserving the client connection.

Fully understand branch teams and actively elevate their experience by owning the branch relationship.

Make high quality and efficient decisions to take client situations to full resolution. This may include engaging the branch team as appropriate.

Prioritize, plan, and execute proactive and reactive work that aligns to the department's vision by tailoring the client experience to the appropriate service framework.

Practice self-management and planning techniques to be responsible for many client relationships and branch teams.

Demonstrate excellence in communication skills and willingness to partner with clients, teammates, branch teams, and leadership to achieve desired outcomes.

Maintain business practices consistent with Industry, Firm and Compliance guidelines.

Complete necessary and topical training and keep up to date on changes in process or information necessary to the do the job. Represent the department in meeting with stakeholder departments and/or field leadership teams.

Responsible for continually learning on the job through daily department emails, team/department meetings, and Continuing Education sessions. This includes demonstration of conflict management skills.

Contribute to the overall success of the team/department by acting as a resource for others and by owning/supporting new initiatives, projects, or process changes.

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to shift between projects/priorities. This may include acting as a backup to other Sr. Financial Advisors and informally leading others in when leadership is unavailable.

Must be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented, environment and quickly learn to apply new information.
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

*Current Series 7 and 66 (OR combination of both Series 63 and 65) licenses required to apply.

Insurance license may be required in the future (life, health and variable annuity)

5+ years of securities industry experience as a Financial Advisor or a position supporting FAs requiring extensive product, service, market, and general investing knowledge. Experience as an Edward Jones Financial Advisor highly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is strongly preferred

Ability to seek, receive and implement feedback.

Strong critical thinking skills are necessary.

Must be able to understand information about various securities, market conditions, industry trends, financial planning, and relationship building.

Extensive flexibility, reliability and sound decision making skills

Well-developed and practiced stellar verbal and written communication. Including exceptional telephone and customer-service skills.

Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply technical information. Familiarity in Salesforce, MoneyGuide, Excel is a plus.

H.B.A. associates would have their home office audited annually
