MedStar Health is looking for a Psychotherapist to join our team at MedStar Physician Group!
An independently licensed professional who provides clinical assessments and short-term psychotherapy for individuals with psychiatric disorders. Primary treatment modalities are group and individual therapy, with family meetings/therapy as the need arises.

Primary Duties:
- Provides individual and group psychotherapy services using evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Develops and implements treatment plans and monitors treatment progress.
- Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure & consistently displays professionalism in interactions with patients and families, staff, and physicians.
- Identifies personal learning needs and initiates actions to address these needs. Attends continuing education program in order to maintain certification.
- Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department. Completes all mandatory requirements, certifications, and licensure within the allotted timeframe for completion (CPR, license, PPD, competencies, age specifics, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in social work, Psychology, or Counseling (Required) and
- Doctoral degree in social work, Psychology, or Counseling (Preferred
- 1-2 years in Mental health experience (Required)
Licenses/ Certifications:
LCSW-C - Licensed Certified Social in the State of Maryland Upon Hire (Required) or
LCPC-Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland (Required) or
MFT-Marriage & Family Therapist License in the State of Maryland Upon Hire (Required)
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041
