Responsibilities
Provides service to the customer base by repairing and overhauling equipment, such aspressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices that exceed the customer's expectations.
Provides general repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces,pressors and electric motors
Provides preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunction and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for the customer base.
Provides department support by processing job tickets, work orders to the necessary department in a timely manner.
Provides necessary training to new or less qualified technicians as needed.
Maintains proper truck inventory continuously and drivespany vehicle in a safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Training
High school diploma or GED.
Course work at an accredited vocational technical or trade school.
6+ year's experience inmercial HVAC, refrigeration, ice machine and gas furnace required.
Must have passed Tech Skills Level 6 with an 80% or better.
Valid driver's license.
Must have a valid EPA certificate.
Basic knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.
Work Experience & Skills
Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience and supermarket stores.
Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.
Working knowledge of single systems, rack systems, display cases and walk-in boxes.
Ability to troubleshoot and repairputer controls.
Good mechanical skills.
Goodmunication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, and management.
Ability to take direction from Sr. Specialist or Supervisor.
Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.
Ability to understand and follow allpany policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
