MedStar Washington Hospital Center - one of the region's largest and most respected academic medical centers - is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team.

Provide 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for the CVOR, overseeing nursing practice, patient care quality, staffing, and budget management.

Ensure excellence in surgical care delivery while driving performance improvement initiatives.

Serve as a strategic partner to physician leaders, perioperative services, and hospital administration.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing nursing team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.

CVOR nursing experience is required.

Previous nursing leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.

Active RN licensure in the District of Columbia.

Specialty certification in nursing or administration required within 2 years of hire.
