The Specialist of Restaurant QA supports food safety, quality and regulatory compliance and serves a key role in supporting global food safety and quality programs (pest, FSA, HDI, DC, etc.). This position will also partner cross-functionally to support or conduct product and process validations to ensure new and existing procedures are food safe in-restaurant. This position is responsible for data analysis in support of the Restaurant QA Team and preparing food safety information to key stakeholders.
This role requires a schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
Responsibilities- Assists with the management of quality assurance programs related to pest control, FSA, HDI, distribution, complaint monitoring, training & education. Creates and distributes food safety related data and reports.
- Assists with product and process testing, validating and ensuring regulatory needs are met. Assist with Health Department variance requirements and other ad hoc requests as needed.
- Partner with Wendy’s internal cross functional partners and acts as liaison to limit brand risk for related to compliance and food safety.
- Supports routine QA workshops and education for assigned restaurants or organizations.
- Education: Associates Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Nutrition or Microbiology or equivalent experience in Food industry
- 2+ years of experience in food safety or operations
- Basic understanding of food safety and microbiology
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of data analysis and statistics
- Highly motivated with continuous improvement mindset
The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
