Work Location: San Jose, CA / Atlanta, GA (Preferred) / Remote (Pacific or Central Timezone preferred)

Role Description

As a Simulation Solutions Engineer , you will join a global team focused on accelerating and innovating data center operations by developing and deploying cutting-edge simulation solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced discrete event simulation models using FlexSim, AnyLogic , and optimization solvers.

  • Conduct in-depth system behavior analysis under technical and business constraints.

  • Collaborate with the Simulation Lead and clients to define project scope and transform complex simulation needs into actionable insights.

  • Integrate new and existing system simulation frameworks, models, and roadmaps.

  • Analyze simulation output to identify optimal system configurations and performance improvements.

  • Present findings and progress to stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).

  • Partner with cross-functional Cloud organizations on productivity and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Define success metrics and conduct post-implementation performance analyses.

  • Deliver robust, high-quality models on schedule.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while proactively communicating milestones and risks.

  • Contribute to a reusable, scalable simulation model library to streamline future development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors or Masters in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems).

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years in systems engineering.

    • 13 years in technical program management, modeling & simulation.

    • 13 years in operations or supply chain.

    • Proven record of end-to-end development and analysis of complex discrete event simulation models.

  • Skills:

    • Strong foundation in statistical principles and simulation methodologies.

    • Hands-on experience with FlexSim and AnyLogic .

    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript ).

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with 3D visualization platforms .

  • Background in software engineering .

  • Expertise in simulation modeling , data analytics , and operations research .

  • Understanding of the product management lifecycle and working with design/development teams.
