Senior Tax Accountant

Our client, a Fortune 500 advertising company, is seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you will be part of the Tax Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Omaha, Nebraska (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000/yr.

What's the Job?

• Prepare and complete tax returns and reports for state, local, property, sales, and other tax liabilities.
• Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company and ensure compliance.
• Participate in tax audits and assist with financial statement audits of tax-related items.
• Drive the preparation and analysis of various tax-related projects, including process improvements and automation.
• Provide oversight on unclaimed property reporting and escheatment.

What's Needed?

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field is required; MBA/CPA/CMI is a plus.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with multi-state sales and property tax filing (Sales/use tax reporting in 25+ states)
• NY commercial rent tax and misc. Business tax experience
• Gross receipt tax and property tax experience
• Proficient in key tools such as Excel, Word, SAP, and tax systems like Vertex and Diagnostax.
