What you'll do Field-based position responsible for implementation of activities for establishment of scientific leadership of AstraZeneca. This includes development and enhancement of professional relationships with healthcare professionals, building deep scientific understanding of AstraZeneca compounds, driving positive opinions for the scientific and clinical value of AZ compounds for patients' needs, delivering medical education and clinical support to medical professionals, training sales teams, and involvement in the development of brand strategy. Key Responsibilities External Medical & Scientific Engagement Build and maintain engagement with scientific leaders (KEEs). Spend 65% of time in the field engaging HCPs and external stakeholders. Proactively identify HCPs for collaboration on medico marketing activities. Develop and implement KEEs engagement plan in collaboration with line manager and TA lead. Provide scientific updates and information to KEEs. Medical & Scientific Support for Internal Stakeholders Continuously acquire and update necessary scientific knowledge on therapeutic area and relevant compounds. Provide internal stakeholders with an understanding of the local medical community and clinical practice. Initiate and conduct appropriate AZ staff training on clinical data. Personal Development Continuously demonstrate development of scientific expertise. Attend relevant scientific congresses and HCP meetings. Identify areas for self-development and discuss needs with line manager. Compliance Maintain compliance with relevant company and industry codes of conduct. Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential Bachelor's Degree or working towards a professional qualification. Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders. Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing. Desirable Advanced scientific degree.
