About the Role

The Animal Clinic of Smithville is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian (DVM / VMD) to join our growing practice. We are open to new graduates and experienced veterinarians alike and are looking for:

• A Small Animal Veterinarian focused on dogs, cats, and companion animals
• A Large Animal Veterinarian with expertise in cattle, equine, or farm animals
• Or a Mixed Animal Veterinarian with a passion for both, we would LOVE to talk to you!

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care including preventive medicine, wellness exams, diagnostics, and urgent care
• Perform procedures such as digital radiography, dental prophylaxis, anesthesia administration, and surgical operations
• Utilize advanced tools including digital x-rays, ultrasound, and Covetrus Pulse clinic management system
• Diagnose and treat internal medicine cases, critical care, and orthopedic conditions
• Educate clients on pet nutrition, disease prevention, and long-term treatment options
• Collaborate with a supportive veterinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree and active Tennessee veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
• Clinical experience in preventive care, urgent care, internal medicine, and surgery
• Orthopedic and critical care experience a plus
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• Commitment to teamwork, patient well-being, and community-centered veterinary medicine
