Job Summary
Job Description
Southeast Healthcare is looking for a qualified licensed therapist with a desire to work with children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health issues. Qualified candidate must have a genuine passion to work in homes, schools, and communities with diverse clientele. The Therapist will establish therapeutic relationships, provide behavioral health counseling, linkage and referral, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health concerns, behavioral issues, and developmental challenges in children and adolescents.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
- Employ various therapeutic techniques, such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment plans.
- Provide support and resources to families facing challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during times of need.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs.
- Advocate for the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree and LSW/LPC required.
- Chemical dependency credential a plus.
- Experience with SPMI and/or SUD population strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and healthcare services.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
