Job Description


We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead and coordinate daily operations across our busy metal fabrication shop and warehouse. This role blends strategic oversight with on-the-ground execution, managing people, fabrication and assumbly processes, logistics, and production standards in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist shop and warehouse staff, including fabricators, welders, laser operators, and shipping personnel
  • Oversee daily production flow: schedule jobs, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively to meet deadlines
  • Manage all logistics: pickups, deliveries, shipping, receiving, and daily coordination with customers, vendors, and service providers
  • Lead weekly team meetings to review priorities, promote teamwork, and drive productivity
  • Optimize warehouse layout, improve space utilization, and implement organizational systems for tools and hardware
  • Conduct regular inventory audits for raw materials, parts, and finished goods; monitor stock levels and reorder as needed
  • Collaborate with sales, design, vendors, and management to ensure on-time, to-spec production
  • Maintain shop and warehouse equipment (lasers, press brakes, forklifts, hand tools), minimizing downtime and ensuring all tools are in safe working condition
  • Uphold safety protocols, enforce quality control standards, track production metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across all shop and warehouse operations
  • Operate forklifts, assist with heavy lifting, and ensure proper handling and storage of materials

 

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (required) and Spanish (a strong plus) 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication (laser cutting, forming, welding)
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power and hand tools
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and interpret CAD files
  • Forklift certified or experienced with material handling equipment
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Familiarity with job tracking or ERP systems (a plus)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:45am to 4:30pm
