Construction Carpenter – Heavy Civil

Terra Site Constructors, dba Terra Constructs, currently has needs for Construction Carpenters.  The positions require experience on Heavy Civil projects on bridges, roadway, utility and retaining walls.

Duties:

• Prepares, builds and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drains, retaining walls and other structures.
• Works from plans to build assemble, fit together, align, plumb and set in place forms for molding various types of structures.
• Constructs forms for placement of concrete and structures.
• Checks forms while concrete is being placed.
• Assists and directs other stripping forms after concrete is placed.
• Installs miscellaneous materials in erecting concrete structures.
• Installs precast concrete elements.
• Install wooden and metal railings and decking.
• Ensures workplace safety by maintaining clean work areas and identifying potential safety hazards.

Qualifications Required:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Carpenter working on Heavy Civil projects.
• Ability to read plans and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must pass drug test.
