Frederick, MD (July 2016) – On July 28th, iHire was named one of the best places to work in Frederick County at the 2016 Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards ceremony held at the Delaplaine Visual Education Arts Center.
The Best Places to Work campaign is a county-wide initiative to increase quality of life opportunities for Frederick County employees. The 2016 awards program is a partnership between Frederick County Workforce Services, City of Frederick Department of Economic Development, Frederick County Office of Economic Development, and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
Nearly 100 nominations were submitted, and nine companies were honored based on a variety of criteria including turnover rate, median annual salary, benefits, flexibility and work-life balance, professional development opportunities, community involvement, green/sustainable practices, engagement and feedback mechanisms, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
“We’re so proud of the culture we’ve built here at iHire, and to receive this award is an honor and a testament to all of the associates who make our company a truly great place to work,” said Steve Flook, President of iHire. “We were named the Most Creative Workplace in 2014, so to take home the title as Best Place to Work this year is beyond exciting!”
“The Chamber recognizes excellence in our business community in a variety of meaningful ways. One of our favorite ways is to celebrate those companies that are deemed the Best Places to Work, as these organizations serve as models, providing inspiration for others to similarly enhance their own businesses. Companies are working harder than ever to retain quality employees, and the Best Places to Work awardees lead the pack in creating environments that increase both productivity and retention,” said Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Director Elizabeth Cromwell.
Winning in the “medium to large” business category, iHire was recognized for the following workplace strategies and benefits:
