iHire Named to Inc. Magazine’s List of Best Workplaces 2020

For the second time, iHire is one of the highest-scoring businesses with standout employee engagement

Frederick, Maryland – May 6, 2020 – iHire today announces that it has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of Best Workplaces for 2020. The prestigious list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.

Collecting data from more than 3,000 submissions, Inc. singled out 395 finalists for this year’s list. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed, and audited the data, and then ranked all the employers using a composite score of survey results.

Earning a spot on Inc.’s list for the second time, iHire received a Best Place to Work score of 92.79/100. In addition, 98.21% of iHire employees said they were engaged by their work, which is well above the 73.5% average for award nominees. iHire’s high employee engagement rates result from the company’s ongoing focus on building a unique workplace culture with a collaborative work environment, transparent leadership, generous PTO, flexible scheduling options, excellent benefits, frequent employee recognition, a wellness program, a host of regular social activities, and more.

“Although our workplace is a little different now due to COVID-19, iHire employees remain engaged and productive, even while working 100% remotely,” said Steve Flook, iHire’s President and CEO. “This is not only a testament to our strong company culture, but also our people. When you have a rewarding culture filled with great talent, you have the foundation to weather any business challenge. On behalf of iHire, thank you to our employees for their honest, positive feedback in helping us earn this award.”

According to Inc., the strongest engagement scores came from companies that prioritize the most human elements of work. These companies are leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity. It is a different playbook from a decade ago, when too many firms used the same template: free food, open work environments, and artifacts of “fun.”

“Building a great corporate culture comes only from strong leadership,” said Inc. magazine Editor-in-Chief Scott Omelianuk. “The companies on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from, especially now, when company culture is more important to the workforce than ever.”
