iHire Product Update – February 2026

iHire Product Update – February 2026

You’re going to love February’s iHire product update, featuring a brand-new Hiring Market Insights Dashboard with labor market data, redesigned Traffic Max jobs, rebranded Work Your Way job alert email, and more. Here’s what’s new at iHire this month:

Hiring Market Insights Dashboard

Have you ever wondered what the supply and demand of candidates looks like in your market? Our new Hiring Market Insights dashboard allows you to compare candidate supply and job demand based on specific skills, job titles, and locations right from your iHire account.

With this easily digestible labor market data sourced from our active candidate and jobs databases, you can better understand today’s recruitment landscape, identify hiring opportunities, and optimize your job postings to attract the right candidates.

Access your Hiring Market Insights dashboard by signing in to your account, selecting the “Analytics” tab, then choosing “Hiring Market Insights.”

Next to “Insight Type,” choose the data you want to see by either skills or job titles. Then, choose a location level (metro, state, or nationwide) for deeper analysis. (Note that the data and filter values you’ll see initially reflect the iHire industry for which you’re currently logged in. If you’ve signed in through iHire.com, you will be prompted to select an industry.)

The resulting information is displayed in a table below, where you’ll see the following data points:

  • Candidate Percentage: The percentage of active candidates in your selected market who include the skill or job title in their iHire profile.
  • Job Percentage: The percentage of active jobs in your selected market that mention the job title or required skill.
  • Relative Opportunity: These metrics compare candidate availability to job demand within your selected market, based on iHire’s data. Higher values suggest more available talent relative to demand.

So, what can you do with this information? Look no further than the panel to the right of the data table (or beneath, if you’re using mobile). We provide you with suggestions for using the data patterns to focus your hiring efforts more strategically, including:

  • Adding skills to your posting to expand your reach: If certain skills show strong candidate supply or positive opportunity, consider adding them to your job posting to appear in more qualified candidate searches.
  • Advertising for related or similar roles: If competition is high for the role you’re hiring for, explore similar titles within your industry to increase your reach and attract candidates you may have otherwise missed. For example, you might find that more candidates are seeking Sales Representative roles in your area, while your job ad is for an Account Executive. Update your posting accordingly to appeal to more job seekers.
  • Adjusting your targeted location or indicating if remote work is available: If your market looks tight, expanding to a broader region or offering remote flexibility can increase your reach. In these cases, you may change the targeting on your job posting, upgrade to nationwide, or specify that remote work is available to reel in the right applicants.

More enhancements to our Hiring Market Insights dashboard are on the horizon, and we’ll be sure to keep you informed about the latest updates.

Redesigned Traffic Max Jobs

Upgrading your job with Traffic Max? We’ve redesigned these featured job postings to make them more appealing and clickable, thus driving more qualified candidates to view and apply for your roles.

Now, Traffic Max jobs will appear with a “Hot Opportunity” tag, along with a border and a slight drop shadow in search results. The “Hot Opportunity” tag will also display on the job view page. Rest assured, the functionality behind Traffic Max jobs hasn’t changed – you’ll still maximize your reach as you attract the right talent to your ads.

Work Your Way Job Alerts

Our popular Gig and Part-Time job alert emails have been rebranded as Work Your Way job alerts. This change better reflects the email’s inclusion of all types of flexible work opportunities – such as freelance and contract roles in addition to gig and part-time positions.

We believe this rebranding will better resonate with iHire’s candidate base that has routinely told us in our research that they are interested in work opportunities beyond full-time employment. The result? You’ll get more interest in your job postings for flexible roles.
