Lock Haven University's Master of Science Sport Science program is delivered 100% online.
100% online, web-based delivery enables working adults the flexibility to progress through the program on a part-time basis, at a reasonable pace, without interrupting their career. The program will also accommodate traditional and non-traditional students to attend on a full-time or part-time basis. No campus visits or on-campus residencies are required. Web-based delivery designed to maximize the efficient use of technology for online teaching and learning, while maintaining a personal, one-to-one mentoring and supervision relationship with degree candidates. Students can complete the requirements of the program at their own pace and change the number of courses taken by semester.

The 30 credit Sport Science program offers two tracks, Sport Administration and Sport and Exercise Psychology. Graduates of the Sport Administration track are prepared for careers ranging from marketing, sales and sponsorship to event planning and facility management in professional, amateur, educational and community sport settings. Having examined how psychological factors influence sport performance and physical activity participation and how sport and physical activity involvement affect psychological well-being. Graduates of the Sport and Exercise Psychology track are prepared to help athletes and others achieve optimal performance.

Lock Haven University utilizes only full-time tenure track faculty as instructors in our classes. All faculty members have a strong background in sport administration, both in theory and in practical application. With their diverse special interests, you will be exposed to a broad range of expertise. They are dedicated to teaching and are always available to help you succeed. In addition to their academic credentials, all faculty are specially trained to teach graduate classes in the online environment.

The program is approved by the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM).
