The Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Sport Management at Ashland University is offered fully on-line, it is seeking accreditation through the Council of Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA), consists of faculty with strong educational and practical experience in sport, and places "Accent on the Individual".
The Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Sports Management offers a program of study that will prepare the student for a highly successful career in any area of sport he/she chooses. Emphasis is placed in professional, intercollegiate, interscholastic and recreational sport. Graduates of the program have obtained rewarding positions in each of these specific areas of sport.
The program is also offered fully on-line and consists of 15 semester-hours of sport management courses, and 21 semester-hours of business courses. Housed in The ACBSP accredited Dauch College of Business & Economics at Ashland University. The Concentration in Sport Management is preparing to seek accreditation through the Council of Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). COSMA is the accrediting body for sport management programs and is affiliated with the North American Society of Sport Management (NASSM).
All of the Sport Management professors at Ashland University have terminal degrees, a minimum of five years teaching in higher education, and several years of practical experience in sport. The institutional motto is "Accent on the Individual", and the Sport Management faculty take it very seriously. We work very closely with students to ensure they have an keen understanding of course material, and more importantly, that they have a clear vision on how to incorporate that understanding into practical application.
