This Master of Science degree program prepares you for a variety of positions with a broad range of employers in the public and private sports industries.

The courses offered in this program are aligned with the joint NASPE-NASSM curriculum guidelines. This advanced degree is a Master of Science in Physical Education with Sports Administration as the emphasis.

Two Options for Completion

• The thesis option requires 30 hours of coursework, 6 hours of thesis credits, plus an oral defense of the thesis.
• The non-thesis option requires 36 hours of coursework and written and oral comprehensive exams.

Eastern New Mexico University has the most affordable tuition in the state of New Mexico and one of the most affordable in the country. Out of state-students enrolling in six or fewer hours per semester pay tuition and fees at the low in-state rate

Graduates are employed in secondary and college athletics as coaches and administrators, private and public recreation managers, and in professional sports.

All courses are taught by faculty with terminal degrees (no courses in the curriculum are taught by Masters or Ph.D. candidates).

We offer small classes with individual instruction. Graduate Assistantships are available. We have low tuition rates and instate tuition rates may be available.
