Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Soliant partners with Ohio schools to provide comprehensive remote school psychology services, and we need experienced practitioners to join our professional network. This virtual position offers meaningful work supporting students' educational and mental health needs while providing the flexibility and work-life balance of home-based practice. Position Snapshot: 37.5 hours weekly / Caseload of 50-65 students / Ages ranging from early childhood through high school / Services include evaluation, counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention / Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams The Work School psychology encompasses diverse responsibilities that keep every day interesting and challenging! Evaluation Services - You conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine special education eligibility and identify students' unique learning profiles. Testing includes measures of cognitive ability, academic achievement, processing skills, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional functioning. You interview parents and teachers, review records, observe students when possible through video, and synthesize multiple data sources into coherent diagnostic impressions. Your reports answer referral questions, explain evaluation results in accessible language, and provide specific recommendations for instruction, intervention, and support. Counseling and Intervention - Direct services address students' mental health and behavioral needs through individual and group formats. You might work with an anxious middle schooler on coping strategies, facilitate a social skills group for students with autism, provide grief counseling after loss, teach emotional regulation to a student with ADHD, or deliver cognitive-behavioral interventions for depression. Sessions happen via secure video conferencing with attention to privacy and therapeutic relationship building. Consultation - Teachers, parents, and administrators seek your expertise regularly. A teacher needs help with a student's disruptive behavior. Parents want guidance supporting their child's anxiety at home. An administrator asks you to provide professional development on trauma-informed practices. You offer evidence-based recommendations, collaborate on intervention plans, and provide ongoing support as strategies are implemented. System Participation - You serve on building teams addressing academic and behavioral concerns through multi-tiered systems of support. You contribute to 504 plan development, participate in manifestation determinations, support positive behavior initiatives, and help schools use data to improve student outcomes. Required Credentials Ohio School Psychologist license in good standing, Master's degree or higher in School Psychology, two years minimum experience in K-12 settings, comprehensive training in assessment and intervention, knowledge of special education law and procedures, strong report writing skills, comfort with independent remote practice.
