GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Program Manager to work in a hybrid capacity with 2 days on-site per week at the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) in Columbus, Ohio. This position requires candidates to be located within commuting distance of Columbus and offers a collaborative environment focused on establishing a new Salesforce Org and implementing DCY’s IT Big Ideas projects.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and program-level coordination to support DCY’s Salesforce Program. You will direct cross-functional teams, manage priorities across multiple vendors, guide business and technical alignment, and ensure successful delivery of major initiatives including Salesforce Org setup, workflow automation, data modernization, and enterprise-wide application transitions.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and drive the end-to-end setup of DCY’s Salesforce Org, including governance, roadmap development, and program execution.
Lead and manage multiple complex IT projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and technical requirements.
Provide strategic planning and leadership by defining the Salesforce program vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal staff, vendors, Salesforce strategic consultants, and program area SMEs.
Manage program timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Lead requirements gathering, prioritization, and expectation-setting between stakeholders and technical teams.
Create and manage the Salesforce Program plan, roadmap, and governance processes.
Conduct risk assessments, identify mitigation strategies, and monitor ongoing risks and issues.
Facilitate meetings, maintain action items, and deliver status reporting to DCY leadership.
Support the Big Ideas initiatives, including legacy application migration, Marketing Cloud implementation, Data Cloud and AI deployment, and licensing alignment.
Provide general project management support such as developing work breakdown structures, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Oversee Salesforce-related integrations, platform scalability, and performance considerations (non-coding role).
Drive continuous improvement in business processes through automation, analytics, and CRM best practices.
Lead change management and user adoption efforts, including planning and coordinating training programs.
Work with business units to optimize the value IT delivers through improved processes, automation, and Salesforce tools.
Deliver dashboards, reports, and metrics to track KPIs and provide business insight.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of project management experience in IT, with a proven record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects.
5+ years of business process analysis experience.
3+ years of workflow automation experience.
3+ years of Salesforce experience.
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Solid experience implementing workflow automation solutions and developing efficient business processes.
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, SDLC methods, technology management practices, organizational change management, and business process improvement.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with project planning techniques and project planning tools.
Excellent documentation, communication, planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and responsibilities.
Experience creating project charters, implementation plans, test plans, deployment plans, and status reports.
Experience performing business analysis and/or project management for software development projects.
Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Experience with vendor management.
Large-scale Salesforce implementation experience.
PMP certification.
Experience leading digital workflow automation projects.
