Our client is seeking a Medical Director to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a veterinarian with leadership experience to guide clinical operations, mentor staff, and help shape the future of a dynamic referral and emergency hospital.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Multiple flexible scheduling options are available to suit different lifestyles, including 2-3 shifts per week, 5 on/10 off, 10 shifts in a row, or a customized schedule that fits your needs. This is a full-time position, and candidates will have the opportunity to discuss their preferred schedule during the hiring process.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced veterinarians with leadership experience. The Medical Director will provide oversight of clinical operations, ensure high-quality patient care, support the professional development of staff, and collaborate closely with the specialty team to maintain rigorous clinical standards. Candidates should be confident in managing critical cases, guiding decision-making, and fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment. Candidates may also be eligible for a travel stipend of up to $25,000 for non-local applicants. Flexible scheduling options allow veterinarians to balance professional demands with personal life. The environment fosters learning, teamwork, and advanced clinical care across emergency and specialty medicine, including ECC, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and more.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service, multispecialty referral and emergency center equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology. This AAHA-accredited hospital provides both specialty referral services and round-the-clock emergency care. The fully stocked in-house lab includes three IDEXX Catalyst machines, Procyte CBC, coagulation testing (PT/PTT), urinalysis, and a SNAP test reader. Imaging capabilities feature digital radiography, Philips HDX11 ultrasound, digital endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, and a CT scanner with fluoroscopy for real-time 3D imaging. The hospital upholds rigorous clinical standards and fosters a collaborative, referral-based environment focused on exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
