Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative teams in the Philadelphia, PA area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across two connected hospitals-one a long-established, community-trusted practice and the other a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility. The position provides exposure to a diverse caseload and the ability to practice high-quality, progressive medicine in a supportive and team-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position offering a structured yet flexible schedule. The hospitals operate Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The clinics are closed on Sundays, ensuring a consistent work-life balance for all team members.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver comprehensive care to a range of patients, performing wellness examinations, vaccinations, laser therapy, and soft tissue surgeries. The role also includes opportunities to work with exotic pets, offering tailored care for birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Strong communication and client education are central to the position, ensuring pet owners are supported in providing optimal care for their companions. The role is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including new graduates seeking mentorship within a collaborative team.
Practice Details
The hospitals are full-service facilities equipped with digital radiology, laser therapy equipment, and modern surgical suites, enabling advanced diagnostics and effective treatment. Both locations provide a welcoming environment for clients and pets, with a focus on preventive medicine and compassionate care. Services include wellness exams, vaccinations, laser therapy, exotic pet care, nutritional consultations, and soft tissue surgery. Together, the two hospitals share resources and medical expertise, creating a dynamic, supportive, and forward-thinking workplace culture.
Team
The team includes four DVMs supported by an excellent technical and administrative staff. The environment is collaborative, encouraging communication and teamwork to achieve the best patient outcomes while supporting professional development and a positive work atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
