Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The practice currently serves canine and feline patients and has plans to expand to include a small percentage of exotic cases in the future.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the practice closed on Sundays. The Associate Veterinarian role is offered on a full-time basis, typically over a four-day work week with 1-2 half-day Saturdays per month, supporting a strong work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventative and diagnostic care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, and spay/neuter surgeries, as well as managing sick or injured pets. Responsibilities also include performing soft tissue surgeries, delivering internal medicine support, and collaborating with the team in areas such as dermatology, nutrition, and palliative care. Clear communication with clients is essential to provide education and build long-term relationships. The position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped with advanced technology, including digital radiology, dental radiography, ultrasound, and access to echocardiograms performed by a board-certified specialist. The facility also has an in-house laboratory for diagnostics. A wide range of services are offered, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology and allergy management, parasite prevention, nutrition, palliative and end-of-life care, and musculoskeletal support. The hospital maintains AAHA accreditation and operates within a Fear-Free certified environment.

Team
The hospital currently has six veterinarians supported by 2-3 staff members per doctor. The team culture is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and committed to ongoing education and growth, ensuring a supportive workplace for both experienced doctors and new graduates.

Candidate Requirements

Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
