Our client is a full-service animal hospital that has been serving the New Orleans community since 2011. They provide veterinary care for dogs and cats, offering everything from routine wellness and preventative services to advanced surgical and dental care. They are now seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team and continue delivering high-quality care to their patients and strong support to their clients.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The practice is closed on Sundays. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit individual preferences and scheduling needs.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide exceptional medical, surgical, and dental care to patients while building trusting relationships with their owners. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, performing diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures, educating clients on preventative healthcare, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also emphasizes strong client communication and education, ensuring that pets and owners alike receive attentive and compassionate support. The position is open to experienced veterinarians, with mentorship and coaching available to support professional growth.
Practice Details
The hospital is well equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including radiology, anesthesia monitoring, comprehensive laboratory services, and surgical and dental facilities. The clinic offers a wide range of services such as wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, urgent care, surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, oncology, dermatology, cardiology, pain management, behavioral counseling, and rehabilitation therapies. The diverse caseload and broad spectrum of services allow veterinarians to practice high-quality medicine in a dynamic environment.
Team
The team includes three veterinarians supported by skilled staff, creating a collaborative and client-focused workplace. The environment emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and compassionate care, fostering a supportive culture for both experienced clinicians and those early in their careers.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
