Introduction
An Associate Veterinarian is sought to join a four-doctor mixed animal practice in Canon City, Colorado. Working Hours / Rota
The practice operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. A four-day work week is offered to provide a sustainable work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a diverse range of patients, including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and small ruminants. Responsibilities include preventive care, diagnostics, client education, large animal farm calls, and participation in both small and large animal surgical procedures. This position is ideal for a doctor who values variety and seeks to contribute to a close-knit community.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital and dental radiography, a portable x-ray for farm calls, an in-house laboratory, and a fully equipped surgical suite. Large animal capabilities include a padded equine surgery and recovery room, indoor bovine head catch, equine stocks, and the use of PowerFloat technology for equine dentistry. The practice also offers an ambulatory truck for on-site care, enabling routine visits, emergency support, and procedures directly at farms.

Team
The incoming veterinarian will join a team of four experienced doctors supported by skilled technicians and assistants. The clinic places a strong emphasis on teamwork, ensuring each doctor has ample support to focus on patient care. Mentorship is available, but the role would particularly suit a veterinarian with at least a couple of years of experience in mixed practice.

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
