General Practice Medical Director (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead their team while continuing to provide excellent patient care. This small animal practice serves cats and dogs and is looking for a veterinarian with strong leadership and surgical skills to join their collaborative and client-focused environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on weekends. This is a full-time role, offering a balance between professional responsibilities and personal time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will spend the majority of their time practicing medicine while also providing medical leadership for the hospital. Responsibilities include overseeing associate veterinarians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a team-oriented culture that prioritizes quality medicine and client service. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director will also support the hospital's operations and financial performance. Clinical duties include surgery, dentistry, wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, and senior pet care. The position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian with proven clinical and leadership abilities.

Practice Details
The hospital features three exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, a dental suite, and a full in-house laboratory. Diagnostic equipment includes in-house X-ray, ultrasound, and laser technology. Services provided include comprehensive wellness care, dental procedures, surgical services, vaccinations, preventive medicine, diagnostics, microchipping, end-of-life care, laser therapy, and boarding. The practice fosters a strong sense of community and offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere while maintaining a high standard of veterinary care.

The practice is home to three DVMs, supported by a loyal and hardworking team of veterinary staff who pride themselves on their commitment and longevity. The environment is collaborative and client-focused, with a culture centered on teamwork and high-quality care.

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
