Mary Marshall is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.
Schedule - Monday thru Friday, working 7am to 3:30pm, 40 hours weekly, occasional weekends

POSITION SUMMARY
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Schedules resident appointments and arranges transportation by performing the following duties explained in the Essential Functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate; college degree preferred.
- Minimum one-year experience in a business setting, healthcare preferred.
- Must be comfortable driving vehicles that seat up to 10-12 passengers and is able to manage time well.
- Must be able to utilize Safe Defensive Driving Skills.
- Duties include scheduling medical appointments, driving residents to these appointments and complete documentation.
- Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a skilled nursing setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, E-mail and the Internet.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Schedules, documents and coordinates resident appointments and transportation.
- Establishes and publishes daily trip schedule to care center through unit binders.
- Completes and distributes appointment packets to include specific medical information for each resident.
- Coordinates escorts as needed to accompany residents who require assistance.
- Provides back up for IL Transportation Supervisor, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
