Position: Pharmacy Technician - Home Infusion Pharmacy

Location: Crown Point, IN

Compensation $22-26 per hour, based on experience

Paid time off (PTO) and paid sick leave

Hours of Operation: M-F 9am-5pm

Essential Job Functions:

• Compounds sterile preparations in compliance with USP 797 and organizational policies and procedures
• Handles accurate patient intake and follow-up procedures while coordinating with pharmacy staff about real time/scheduled patient care
• Conducts accurate medication history profile lists using two-source rule
• Performs data entry, patient documentation, and upload information while communicating with team about workflow
• Develops and improves organizational processes within the pharmacy along with other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Good interpersonal skills with employees, supervisors, referral sources, and consumers
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

• National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) and/or CSPT certification
• Experience in a hospital or long-term care pharmacy with sterile compounding experience
• Referral intake and processing insurance authorization requests
